Thyroid Eye Disease Community Advocate Sherri DeckSherri Deck loves living in the Washington DC metropolitan area with its world class museums and local celebrity pandas.

However, since 2019 she has been struggling with severe thyroid eye disease. She has had a complete thyroidectomy, orbital decompression and eye muscle surgeries, IV, oral and eye drop steroids, Tepezza, CellCept and acupuncture. She still sleeps on an incline, uses an eye mask, cold compresses and takes selenium.

Sherri has worked most of her life as a community builder. She joined the thyroideyedisease.net group because she believes building a community based on knowledge and support makes everyone stronger.
