Does anyone know if Ted is related to thyroid nodules?
I have not been officially diagnosed yet, but I'm wondering if this disease is related to nodules on your thyroid.

, TED is actually a separate condition from any thyroid condition although it is often found that those contending with Graves' disease also have TED. This is because the antibodies that attack the thyroid in Graves' are the same antibodies that attack the eyes in TED. It is possible to have a TED without any effect on the thyroid though and vice versa. If you are concerned about your thyroid nodules and if you have TED, I would definitely recommend speaking to your doctor about them but there is no direct correlation between developing TED and thyroid nodules.
