Just wanted to give you all an update.
I had my first surgery last Wednesday. It was a success. The first 24hrs was testing as all I wanted to do was fiddle with the eye because it was very uncomfortable with the patch/eyecup. They removed it the following day. I couldn't see numbers at all, it was like a fogged up lens. I could get colours only. But an hourly dose of drops cleared it up quick smart.
Another complication was the Chiorsig ointment. I had a reaction to it which inflamed the eye. So now I only put it on the surrounds of the eye. It's to stop infections.
I was in the Mater Hospital Brisbane Australia for 2 nights. I was able to drive to the shop to get supplies on the 3rd day. It was a lot easier than prior to surgery. Now it's 5 days post op and the swelling is easing rapidly, my eye strain is 70% better and couldn't be happier.
A big shout out to my surgeon Dr Tim Beckman and all the staff. Amazing job done by all.
I have a review in 4wks.
Thanks everyone for all your best wishes. Really appreciate it.
