What Is Your Favorite Self-Care Routine?

Having thyroid eye disease can take a toll on your physical, emotional, and social health. What are some ways you practice self-care to manage your stressors?

  1. First of all let me say hello to everyone who's reading my small tip for TED.


    First thing when I wake up, I put a warm wash cloth on both eyes.as often as needed to get that sticky dry swelling down.
    Then after I'm dressed for work I put 2 drops of refresh gel drops in both eyes.
    Sometimes I put a couple of drops in my eyes before bed.


    I also try to wear sunglasses when in the sun, and I notice being on my phone or computer for a long period of time. Make my eyes sensitive and I have to put my sunglasses on.

    1. While in the active phase I remember doing all of the self care steps you are doing. I want to share with you a special type of sun glasses that soothed my eyes more than the normal types. They are called FL-41sun glasses. They are great for photophobia associated with migraines and relieve painful light sensitivity and protect your eyes under fluorescent lighting.
