What should I do for my 6 months old son?

Hello guys,

I hope you are doing well so far. My son is 6 months old. He is blind (not by birth). He was early birth about 28th weeks. He was in the NICU for 13 days. We didn't go to any eye doctors within this time. Now our son don't see the light of the world. Doctor said he is blind. Both of his eyes are damaged.

What should we do now? Is there any chance to recover. Where should we go for better treatment?

Thank you!

  1. , our hearts go out to you and your family while you are contending with this situation with your son. Our community is dedicated to Thyroid Eye Disease which is an autoimmune condition that targets the eyes and eye muscles so it sounds like it is different than what you are experiencing with your son. Unfortunately, that means we aren't the best resource for you at this time. We are also not medical professionals and therefore cannot provide any medical advice via the internet. We wish you all the best at you navigate this situation though. -Sam S. (ThyroidEyeDisease.net, team member).
