Graves Disease

I have been dealing with graves disease and TED for 4 years now. Now my tsh and t4 is normal. gained weight back. hair is growing. not as tired. thinking I'm in remission. Was wondering if anyone ever went in remission

  1. It must be such a relief to you to be in remission and feeling back to normal. My endocrinologist explained to me that often with proper treatment for Graves' disease, patients will go into remission after approximately one to two years. I personally have not reached that point completely without medication. However, with a low dose of Methemizole, my thyroid levels stay close to normal. I wish you all the best. Roxann K. Moderator

    1. I’m glad you’re feeling better! I was hoping for remission, but my thyroid was so out of control I needed to have it surgically removed. Please feel free to keep us posted! Wishing you a peaceful day, Jessica H (thyroideyedisease.net, team member)
