Grave’s disease

I’ve been living with this disease now going on 8 yrs and Drs finally,,,finally figured it out. This all has been a nightmare. As I have been living this life with thyroid eye disease, it has a long haul. I don’t wish this on anyone. It has disfigured my face and very hard to live on a daily basis. I’ve had infusions that didn’t work and the cost unreal...85,000. Now I’m going to see a surgeon on Dec 2nd. Hopefully, this is the answer. I really need a lot of support cause I’m all alone and believe me scary at that. They told me I could go blind.

  1. Hi , well you have come to the right place. We are here to offer you any support we can. I am glad to hear you have received a diagnosis and are in for an appointment with a surgeon. Many in our community have found surgery helpful and others have decided against it. At the end of the day, it is your personal choice about what is right for you but these articles might be helpful while you're thinking: https://thyroideyedisease.net/living/did-not-get-surgery and https://thyroideyedisease.net/living/positive-view-on-surgery All the best, Sam S.
